Okay. It’s the 500th anniversary of John Calvin’s birth, so that question may be somewhat irrelevant. Most will know that John Calvin was a theologian, pastor, and essential participant in the Reformation.
But what about the details of his life? Without reading (or reciting) a biography, do you know who John Calvin is?
I’ve been carrying around a few digital files that I’ve found helpful about John Calvin’s life; you may find these overviews profitable as well:
- Gary Van Daele, a two-part overview of Calvin’s life from our “Reformation History” GBI class this summer:
- David Mathis, “The Life of John Calvin” — a nine-part blog series on DG. It’s brief, but concise, hitting the major elements of his life.
- Christianity Today and Christian History overview Calvin’s life.
