In the coming months, two books of particular interest to me will be released.
They are new books written by my father.
The first is entitled Living the New Testament. It is a daily devotional (365 one-page readings) that will take the reader through the key passages in the New Testament providing not only explanation of those important passages, but also illustration and application.
It is written in the same style as his previous devotional book, Approaching God, which provided daily readings about systematic theology — an explanation and application of key theological ideas for each day of the year.
Release date for this book is November 1.
The second book is one that he has worked on for five years and is the real passion of his heart: Heaven Revealed: What Is It Like? What Will We Do? . . . And 11 Other Things You’ve Wondered About.
This is a book that has gripped his mind following the death of my mother five and a half years ago. Since her home-going, he has spent hundred of hours reading and contemplating the Biblical truths of heaven, and this is the culmination of those thoughts.
He has noted, “In grief, we all need hope–hope for our loved ones who are now gone, and hope for ourselves as eternity looms closer. Heaven should be something to look forward to, not something to be confused about.” This book will address many of those concerns and hopes.
The book will be released March 1, but it is already available for pre-order on Amazon.
