Seven truths about justification

In yesterday’s worship service, we considered the truth of justification by faith alone (sola fide).

Here are seven gracious truths about God’s justification of man:

1. God is the source of justification (Rom. 8:30)
2. Blood is the ground of justification (Rom. 3:24-26)
3. Faith is the means of justification (Rom. 1:16-17; 3:28; 4:5)
4. Grace is the essence of justification (Rom. 3:24)
5. The Spirit is the instrument of justification (1 Cor. 6:9-11)
6. Works are the evidence of justification (Js. 2:21, 24-25)
7. Christ is the position of the justified one (2 Cor. 5:21)
