Some helpful articles and blog posts I’ve spotted recently:
- Mike Riccardi [“Learning to Suffer Well: Trusting God’s Absolute Sovereignty”] writes, “…when we suffer, we should not seek to save God from His sovereignty. If we do that, we cut the legs out from under the solid, robust theology of God’s absolute sovereignty that we depend on and cherish so much in those very times of suffering.”
- How to build your own Bible with blank pages.
- Eliza Huie reminds us that everyone is a counselor. The quest is to be a biblical counselor.
- Tim Challies writes an excellent follow-up piece to his “Legacy of Charles Colson. In “Is Your Gospel Big Enough?” he considers how to evaluate a person who died with a mixed legacy. Is it acceptable to critique that person’s life in a way that a future generation will be helped? This is an important article about the gospel and how to give and receive criticism.
- Joe Carter had “33 Things” on his mind (and blog).
- “Restoring Meaning to “Selective Reduction”
- After reading the previous post, read the contrast in “‘You do all things well.’ Pastor Josh McPherson.”
