It’s no secret that I enjoy books. A really good day is a day off that is rainy and cold that forces me inside with no inside tasks to do so that I can sit in front of our fireplace and read all day. And another good day is having money in my pocket and time on my schedule to spend an afternoon browsing bookstores in the big city (or online if I need to save the gas — but being in a bookstore is always a more satisfying shopping experience).
So yesterday I enjoyed looking at, “The Libraries, Studies, and Writing Rooms of 15 Famous Men” from The Art of Manliness. Previously, I’ve posted a picture of Spurgeon’s library. And these were similarly interesting.
I wish my office was something like William Randolph Hearst’s:

But I’m afraid my office too often looks more like Buckley’s (at least the desk does):
