Bible Reading Plans for 2024

This post for Bible reading plans for 2024 may be a few days late if you wanted to get started on a new plan on January 1.  But it’s not too late to start — because it’s always good to read your Bible.

Every year our church makes at least three reading plans available: an OT only, a NT only, and an entire Bible reading plan. Because I like to read the Psalms on Sunday mornings to prepare my heart for corporate worship, all of these plans have Psalms as the Sunday reading. I also recognize that most of us will miss at least one day a week, so Saturday is my designated “Day of Reflection” that can be a day to meditate on what you read that week, or catch up on something you missed.

Here are the plans:

There are many other plans available on the web. You might check out some of my previous posts on Bible reading. Denny Burk also has a helpful post about reading your Bible and some plans for the year.

And remember that what is most important is not what plan you choose, but that you make a plan to regularly take in the Bible through reading and meditation.
