Today’s Quote – Christmas (Stinson)

Randy Stinson, Council on Biblical Manhood & Womanhood,

Is it not a mercy that once a year the Advent season helps us re-orient ourselves with the astonishing fact that God’s Son took on human flesh and dwelt among us?  He has.  Now every futile thing has been touched with hope.

What is the hope awakened by Christ’s advent?  Just this:  we who groan might be adopted as sons into Christ’s family, with God as our Father.  We groan under the weight of financial and moral debt, the burden of anxious fears, and at the daily horror of death, and the certainty of God’s just wrath.  Yet we who trust Christ groan in hope.
