A good guide will help you through this book. And Robert Thomas is just such a guide. A long-time professor of New Testament studies, he has written what I believe to be the finest commentary on the book of Revelation — a two-volume edition that is without peer. While reading those two volumes might be a little much for you, he also recently posted an overview of the book that will help you as you begin your reading tomorrow.
