A new year will be upon us in two short weeks. And you may already be thinking about how you want to increase your Bible intake — reading, study, and memorization — in the new year.
As we do every year, we are publishing several Bible reading plans for 2017. Our church will be following the “Through the Bible” plan, but we are also publishing “Through the New Testament,” and “Through the Old Testament” plans. Just download one of them and start using that plan to stimulate your heart for God and His Word.

A number of other plans will also be made available in the next two weeks; you can access some of them here. And as I have noted previously, the goal is not to read to fulfill a duty (though we have a duty to know the Scriptures) and the goal is not to gain wisdom for our various problems (though in reading the Word, we will gain wisdom). The goal is to know the mind and heart of God and to love Him more than anything.
