A few resources I’ve found recently that have been helpful:
- “Devotions Aren’t Magic” — among other things, regular time with Christ cultivates delight in Him.
- Biblical Training recently updated its web page — and all the same very helpful resources are still there at no cost — including seminary level training. A great resource.
- Some recent news items that are particularly worth noting — not everything that appears on the evening news or in the newspaper is worth the time or pixels it took to produce. Other items that appear less important actually are quite significant.
- Colin Marshall didn’t start writing about new perspectives on ministry when he wrote The Trellis and the Vine. He’s been working on this for a long time, as “One-to-one prayer and Bible reading” demonstrates.
- I’m not sure I agree with absolutely everything in “Facing Depression Together,” but I appreciate the desire to be Biblical in dealing with the topic of depression. These three articles are neither comprehensive nor exhaustive, but they are helpful.
- A very good book that I am enjoying reading — What Did You Expect? Redeeming the Realities of Marriage (Paul Tripp). His chapters on confession and forgiveness have been particularly helpful.
- “Getting to the Heart of Conflict” — a Biblical counseling conference in Fort Worth
