This weekend we host the biblical counseling training conference.
As part of that conference, Lance Quinn, who is a Fellow with NANC, as well as a member of the board of NANC will be teaching.
Additionally, Lance has graciously agreed to teach Sunday School and preach for us next Sunday morning. This is a real privilege to have someone like Lance with us. In Sunday School, he will be teaching about the role of affliction in the life of the believer from Psalm 119.
Be sure to join us if you can.
Lance also taught at the most recent Shepherds’ Conference on the distinctions between biblical counseling and Christian psychology. In that message he made a distinction early in his talk that was particularly helpful. To distinguish the difference between these two modes of counseling, he asked the question:
Can non-biblical truth claims, say from the realm of secular psychology or even what has been called in recent days Christian psychology, be successfully integrated with the Bible’s own claim to sanctify the human heart? That’s the debate.
