eBook Sales

There are a number of good sales on eBooks right now.

For instance, Shepherd Press has all its ebooks on sale for 99¢ until the end of December (Kindle or ePub formats).  You will find a number of helpful books there, including books like, Christ in You, Everyday Talk, Lost in the Middle, Red Like Blood, Polishing God’s Monuments, Shepherding a Child’s Heart, and When Sinners Say “I Do.”  While I have hard copies of many of these books, the sale was so good, I went ahead and purchased digital copies as well.

Cruciform Press also has seven of its books on sale for either 99¢ or $2.99.  I have not read all of these, but the books I’ve read from this publisher I have generally found helpful, and these prices are well below their normal digital prices — even the subscription rate.  Of the books listed, I would particularly recommend Sexual Detox: A Guide for Guys Who Are Sick of Porn, (Tim Challies) and Grieving, Hope and Solace: When a Loved One Dies in Christ, (Albert N. Martin).

Amazon also has a couple of excellent free books as well, including Money, Possessions and Eternity (Randy Alcorn), The Holiness of God (R. C. Sproul — one of my all-time favorite books).  And they have several other good deals:  10 People Every Christian Should Know (Warren Wiersbe, $2.51), Leaders Who Last (Dave Kraft, $1.99), Brothers, We Are Not Professionals (John Piper, $1.99), Think: the Life of the Mind and the Love of God (John Piper, $3.99), and The Deep Things of God:  How the Trinity Changes Everything (Fred Sanders, $2.99).

As a reminder, you can quickly search for favorite authors or publishers to discover any books on sale at Amazon using the advanced search option (select “Kindle” under “Format” for ebooks).  Gospel eBooks also does a good job of keeping up with current sales and free books.
