At Christmas, it’s easy to talk about the love of God and the love of Christ. As we prepare to remember Christ at the communion table, and be gratitude for His advent tomorrow, let’s let John draw our attention to two aspects of God’s love from 1 John 4 —
- The Nature of God Who Sent His Son (vv. 7-8) — He is Love
- The Purpose of God Who Sent His Son (vv. 9-10) — demonstrating His love
